Baseball Repeats as 2A State Champions

On Monday, June 19th, the Minnehaha Academy Redhawk Baseball team arrived at Target Field ready to defend their state championship from the prior year. The Redhawks won the state championship in 2016 and were runners up in 2015. The Redhawks started the game against Pierz High School with a 4-0 lead after the 3rd inning. Jose’ Williamson Signs with Daemen College

On Tuesday, May 2nd, the students at Minnehaha Academy celebrated the accomplishments of senior Jose’ Williamson as he signed his letter of intent to play on the men’s tennis team at Daemen College in Amherst, New York next year. Jose’ Williamson is playing his 6th year of varsity tennis at Minnehaha Academy. Williamson has also lettered in basketball 3 times, and was awarded with an IMAC All Conference Award for basketball in 2017. Boys’ Basketball: 2017 State Champions!

The young Minnehaha Academy Redhawks boys’ basketball team entered the Class AA state tournament ranked as the #1 team. After a successful season, 26-5, they knew they had their work cut out for them in order to continue their success at the tournament. The average grade level of this Redhawks basketball is 10th grade, with five of the 15 boys on the roster being in 7th, 8th, or 9th grade. Basketball Seasons Continue for Boys’ and Girls’ Teams

Minnehaha Academy’s boys’ and girls’ team both finished their regular seasons by being seeding #1 in the section. The girls team finished their regular season with a record of 19-4. They are headed into the state tournament after taking the section championship with a win against St. Croix Lutheran. The score was 62-44. Head Coach and Athletic Director, Josh Thurow, reached the 300th win milestone during this season. The girls’ begin their run for the state championship on March 15th at 6pm.
