No Gym, No Problem

Despite having the odds against them, the Boys’ Basketball team was able to defend their title of State Champions for the second time this spring. Minnehaha Academy faced Caledonia in the State Championship Finals and won with a score of 73-60. Girls’ Dance Making Team History

Minnehaha Academy and SPA are in their second year of having a cooperative Dance Team. On January 6th, the girls participated in the Edina Dance Competition. They placed better than they ever have in a dance competition by taking 6th place. They also received the sportsmanship award for the second consecutive year. Last weekend, on January 20th, the girls competed at the Farmington Dance Competition. They broke their team best from earlier in the month by placing 2nd in the competition! Baseball Repeats as 2A State Champions

On Monday, June 19th, the Minnehaha Academy Redhawk Baseball team arrived at Target Field ready to defend their state championship from the prior year. The Redhawks won the state championship in 2016 and were runners up in 2015. The Redhawks started the game against Pierz High School with a 4-0 lead after the 3rd inning. Jose’ Williamson Signs with Daemen College

On Tuesday, May 2nd, the students at Minnehaha Academy celebrated the accomplishments of senior Jose’ Williamson as he signed his letter of intent to play on the men’s tennis team at Daemen College in Amherst, New York next year. Jose’ Williamson is playing his 6th year of varsity tennis at Minnehaha Academy. Williamson has also lettered in basketball 3 times, and was awarded with an IMAC All Conference Award for basketball in 2017.
