Baseball Repeats as 2A State Champions

On Monday, June 19th, the Minnehaha Academy Redhawk Baseball team arrived at Target Field ready to defend their state championship from the prior year. The Redhawks won the state championship in 2016 and were runners up in 2015.

The Redhawks started the game against Pierz High School with a 4-0 lead after the 3rd inning. However, Redhawk fans were on edge by the end of the 5th inning when Pierz tied the score at 4-4.

In the 7th inning, the Redhawks were able to score two runs, once again taking the lead (6-4). They were able to hold the lead through the 7th inning and claim the championship for the second year in a row.
